Hunter King

Hunter is the Lead Communications Organizer at Causa Justa :: Just Cause (CJJC), a multi-racial grassroots organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2016, Hunter has joined CJJC in building and amplifying the leadership of working-class Black and Latinx communities in fights to end speculation and state violence. Hunter brings to their organizing a deep commitment to internationalism, prison abolition, and working-class solidarity in the face of white supremacy and capitalism. In addition to their work at CJJC, they also organize with MeTooBehindBars to support inside and formerly incarcerated-led struggles against gender-based violence inside prison. Passionate about transformative justice and community self-determination, they are dedicated to defending and creating space for communities to come together to build collectively for liberation. They love to cook and their favorite animals are cats and cicadas.
